Cowboy Minerals buys both producing and non-producing mineral interests nationwide. Our purchase offers are competitive and our closing process is straightforward, but our approach to mineral buying is very different from what you may be used to.
Chances are that your perception of mineral buyers is not a positive one - and for good reason. In our experience, many buyers rely on shady tactics and misleading information in their dealings with mineral owners. Basic customer service is noticeably (and inexplicably) absent in the industry.
We hold ourselves to a higher standard. Our team believes that radical transparency and customer experience are foundational to every interaction. We also believe that a successful transaction starts with an accurate valuation, so you’ll never receive a sky-high offer from us only to have the final amount drop dramatically for mysterious reasons. And because we’ve structured our business to rely heavily on referrals, it’s critically important that every single mineral owner who chooses to work with us has an amazing experience, from start to finish.

MATT HARDY, MANAGING PARTNER
Matt is a co-founder of Cowboy Minerals. He graduated from Kansas State University and began his career in oil & gas at ConocoPhillips in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Matt was most recently the Head of Mineral Owner Resources at RunTitle in Austin, Texas. There he helped owners better understand their mineral interests so they could make fully informed decisions.

CAMERON GOODWIN, MANAGING PARTNER
Cameron is a co-founder of Cowboy Minerals. He grew up in and around the oil patch with a father who operated oil & gas wells. After graduating from the University of Houston he worked in Oklahoma for several years as a landman establishing a large lease position for a publicly traded company. Cameron then joined RunTitle in Austin, Texas where he built the company’s mineral title database and worked alongside Matt to help mineral owners navigate the selling process.
